BSUTH GETS A NEW CMD: The executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 approved the appointment of Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande for the position of Chief Medical Director, BSUTH. Dr. Stephen Terungwa Hwande, a Consultant Gynecologist was before his appointment, the Medical Director/CEO of First Fertility Hospital, Makurdi. He has since resumed duty on Wednesday, the 18th day of October, 2023. CONGRATULATIONS!

HWANDE CONSTITUTES WASTE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The Chief Medical Director, Benue state University Teaching Hospital, Dr Stephen Hwande, on Monday, 22nd April, 2024 constituted and inaugurated a committee to manage the hospital’s waste.

The committee has Prof. Priscilla Utoo as Chairman, Prof. Smart Chor as Consultant, Sarah Ageje as Secretary and Barnabas Jebe as Assistant Secretary and 15 others as members.

Dr. Hwande while inaugurating the committee reiterated the need for cleanliness at the hospital at all times, and urged members to take their assignment seriously.

He disclosed that, the newly installed eco-friendly incinerator would be used to recycle waste in such a way that the hospital would generate revenue from the process.

In their separate responses, Chairman of the committee, Prof. Priscilla Utoo and the Consultant, Prof. Smart Chor commended the CMD for his passion for clean environment and assured that the committee would be diligent in the discharge of its assignment.
