BSUTH commends Benue Govt, Sema, Tor Tiv, Suswam for Yelwata support

The Management of the Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi, led by Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, has appreciated the Benue State Government and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for promptly supporting victims of the recent Fulani herdsmen attack in Yelwata, Guma Local Government Area.
BSUTH thanked the State Emergency Management Agency for taking responsibility for the victims’ medical bills and providing feeding support. The intervention, according to the CMD, has greatly reduced the hospital’s burden and aided the recovery of those affected by the tragic incident.
Dr. Hwande disclosed that only Senator Gabriel Torwua Suswam and the Tor Tiv, Prof. James Iorzua Ayatse, have each donated one million naira into the hospital’s account to support the treatment of the Yelwata victims.
The CMD clarified that apart from the Benue State Government, SEMA, the Tor Tiv, and Senator Suswam, no other person or organization has contributed financially to the victims’ care.
The CMD called on well-meaning individuals and organizations to assist the hospital in managing the crisis, stressing that continued support is crucial to sustain treatment and save more lives.
