The Accident and Emergency Department is said to be the 'eye' of the Hospital as it is most of the time, the first point of call for many patients. Services rendered by the Department include surgical emergencies-head injury, acute abdomen, hand injury, burns, trauma, fractures, diabetic foot, urological emergencies etc. Medical emergencies- hypertensive emergencies, acute asthmatic attack, diabetic emergencies, stroke, cardiac arrest, gastroenteritis etc.

In times of emergency, BSUTH's Emergency Department delivers swift and exceptional care. The emergency team is always ready to attend to all emergencies as the situation arises.
