Radiology Department

The department of Radiology attend to the imaging needs of patients who are referred from the various clinical departments of the hospital. It is a service department.

The Department offers the following as routine services:

• Conventional Radiography (X-ray).
• Special Radiographic examinations:: Intravenous Urography, Retrograde Urethrography, Micturating Cystourethrography, Hysterosalphingography, Barium Swallow, Barium Meal, Barium Enema, Venography.
• Ultrasound: Renal ultrasound, Renal Doppler scan, Testicular scan, Thyroid scan, Ocular scan, Peripheral Doppler scan, Infant Brain (TF USS), Transcranial Doppler (TCD), Transvaginal scan, Breast Scan, Ultrasound guided procedures-cyst aspiration, Venous location for catheterization, Obstetric/Anomaly Scan ➢ Computed Tomography (CT) Scan
• Mammography
• Benue State Government recently installed an MRI to commence service soon.
